FixturesAston Villa Vs. Bournemouth - Sun, Nov 9th 2025, 14:00 Positivity was radiating from Amadou Onana as he assessed Sunday’s thrashing of AFC Bournemouth at Villa Park. Aston Villa were on point from start to finish as four different players netted in the 4-0 success against the Cherries. The Belgian midfielder joined the VillaTV post-match show to break down the triumph, beaming at what the team produced. “Everyone’s delighted, it was our biggest victory of the season,” he said. “Four goals, four different goal scorers – it doesn’t get any better than that.” Onana added: “With the ball, we’ve been very proud of how we played out from the back. “Sometimes I know it can be annoying for the fans but it’s the way we play and it’s what got us to here. “We need to continue doing that. I think that we beat them at their own game. They’re a very intense team, but today in the duels we were really aggressive. “We were spot on.” Onana was one of the players on target in B6, arrowing in his first goal of the season to make it 2-0 in the first half. “When you hit it that sweet, you know it’s going in,” he reflected. “It reminded me of my goal against Young Boys last season in the Champions League, it was pretty similar.” The 24-year-old now heads off to link up with Belgium for a pair of crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Onana and his countrymen take on Kazakhstan and Liechtenstein as they bid to secure top spot in Group J. He said: “Coming off this, 4-0 against Bournemouth at home and trying to qualify with Belgium for the World Cup, it’s an amazing feeling. “I’m really proud of that and we’ll need to refocus when we get back to the Premier League.”
